With its modest 6.5 minute length, Chase Me conveys as much plot, pace and drama as any DCAU feature film, if not more.
it also has one of the most porny-sounding saxophone songs for it’s background.
I’m serious, go back and listen to it. It’s soft porn background music!
But I do love the short <3
Breast Cancer Superheroine Campaign by ~Maísa Chaves
“Nobody’s immune to breast cancer.
When we talk about breast cancer, there’s no women or superwomen. Everybody has to do the self-examination monthly. Fight with us against the enemy and, when in doubt, talk with your doctor.”I’ve blogged these amazing breast cancer campaign illustrations before but I couldn’t find the original artist or the high resolution pictures so i’m blogging them again for the proper credit. Although technically a few of these ladies can’t get breast cancer in the comic book world the idea/concept is brilliant and i’m glad these ad campaign’s exist.
Catwoman gets a DC Nation Short
Way back in April I posted that Catwoman would be getting a DC Nation short. And this morning, when everyone thought the season was over, it appeared. The short is by Wolf Smoke from China and it is done in an anime style. And set in the past. And look for a quick nod to a villain appearing with Catwoman on the big screen.
Looking good, Selina! mreow <3
The Catwoman#0 cover could have been gorgeous, as proved by the lovely Kaciart.
But no, DC, you had to have your tits and ass because Catwoman has to be SEEEEEXYYYY.
Can we just stop for a minute and think that maybe it’s this treatment that keeps pushing down all our efforts to get more female-led books out there?
Oh and lord forbid we let some female creators in! They might bring in crazy ideas like correct anatomy and some human sensibilities to the characters!
